What to expect:
The Purchasing Business Partner is the representative of the Purchasing function in the relevant markets, ensuring a good flow of information between Nespresso markets and purchasing.
This role will ensure the development, management and prioritization of procurement activities in support of the business function and engage category teams across all spend categories to effectively implement corresponding business units or function strategies.
A day in the life of a Procurement Business Partner
- Understand the strategies and priorities of the entities served, translate them into purchasing needs and integrate this information into purchasing supply category strategies.
- Ensure this information is shared with all global executives responsible for critical global purchasing categories.
- Get involved from the early stages of project development within the globally managed Business/Strategic Unit
- Understand and interact with the innovation and renovation plans for the globally managed business/strategic unit. Research and Development, Product Technology Center and other specific teams Globally managed business/strategic unit/functional functions to understand developing strategy and needs to convey to suppliers.
- Ensure these are effectively clearly represented and integrated into the category purchasing strategy and supplier relationship management
- Understand category strategies and procurement sourcing plans and represent them to Globally Managed Business Unit/Strategic/Functional leadership at relevant stages throughout the category process.
- Ensure that category strategies and procurement sourcing plans are understood by management of the globally managed business/strategic/functional functions, and that impacts are debated and discussed and considered with Hub teams/local teams, as required.
- Understand and Communicate Feedback on Globally Managed Business Unit/Strategic Purchasing Supply Market Developments/Functional Management and Industry Outlook, Forward Pricing and Hedging as applicable.
- Measure monitor and lead manage the delivery of and ensure value creation to the Globally Managed Business/Strategic Unit functional leadership and support, motivate, guide, provide focus, missions, motivation, support and coaching to the category procurement teams to understand and meet the needs of the Globally Managed Business/Strategic Unit.
- Monitor and guarantee the compliance of procurement and purchasing activities on the markets (Source 2 Pay, supplier approval process)
- Represent the markets through the purchasing function
(Nespresso Head Office, Nestle In the Market)
- Contribute to achieving the objectives of the Procurement function on the markets
(Savings, Payment Terms, Compliance, service)
Role requirements
- Bilingualism in English and French is a requirement as this position requires collaboration with Canadian and global market stakeholders.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree? Bachelor’s degree in commerce, procurement, engineering, marketing or any related field
- 5 to 8 years of experience in category and/or stakeholder management, purchasing, business market,
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and with multidisciplinary teams
- Advanced level with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of SAP, Power BI and any ERP system (an asset)
Preferred skills
- Ability to build relationships with colleagues internally and externally
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated skills in entrepreneurship – autonomy
- Successfully transforming business needs into a purchasing procurement strategy through purchasing management for at least one of the spend categories.
