A true horse racing institution, the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race returns at the end of January 2025 to the Paris-Vincennes racecourse in a completely redesigned format. The international event reinvents itself and becomes the Prix d’Amérique Festival. Music, light show and, of course, the legendary harness trotting race will be on the program.
A real American show. In 2026, the 105th edition of the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race will not only be a race, but a festival in its own right. From Friday January 23 to Sunday January 25spectators will come not only to experience the sulky world championship, but also to enjoy an immersive experience throughout theParis-Vincennes racecourse.
“The Prix d’Amérique Festival will offer total immersion in the world of trotting races and the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race, through a weekend of sport, celebration and experiences open to all. For three days, the Paris-Vincennes Hippodrome will become a lifestyle destination where races, shows and entertainment will come together until the big meeting on Sunday. The Festival will offer all audiences a wide range of fun, sporting and cultural activities, and will enrich the live experience of the races thanks to three complementary prisms. »
Drone show, DJ sets and Republican Guard on the program
The Festival America Prize comes in three dimensions to offer a unique experience to all visitors. There Dimension RACE immerses spectators in the heart of the global competition, allowing them to discover the track, the racecourse and behind the scenes of the race, while meeting the actors of trotting. There Dimension GAME promises adrenaline and challenges with retro arcades, immersive experiences and expert advice on betting and predictions. There Dimension LIVE transforms the racecourse into a real American-style playground, with cultural workshops, tastings, dances and activities for young and old.
To attract visitors and trotting enthusiasts, the organization has planned a large program of festivities. The weekend will open on Friday with the Prix d’Amérique Expo, an international event combining immersive experiences, the arrival of the Trophy, a light show and auctions of elite trotters. “At nightfall, Paris-Vincennes lights up in the colors of the Prix d’Amérique. Relive the legacy of the nocturnals of the 1950s with a luminous drone show,” promises the organization. The next day, the day will be full of rhythm: festive American village, street food, visits to stables, high-level races and the grand musical finale with concerts and DJ sets.
The highlight of the weekend will arrive on Sunday. THE 40,000 spectators expected in Vincennes will benefit, at the beginning of the afternoon, from an opening show bringing together the Prix d’Amérique Parade and the Republican Guard equestrian show, which will set the racecourse ablaze before the champions enter the track. Then the start of the flagship race, worth one million euros, will take place. Three minutes of pure intensity on the legendary 2,700 meters of the Grande Piste to crown the harness trotting world champion.
Living to the rhythm of horse racing… and America
Throughout the weekend, the experience will not be limited to sports, shows and music. The 100% American will also be experienced on the plate, with numerous restaurant areas offering a wide selection of Made in USA specialties and drinks. “At the American Food Court, street food lovers will find a wide choice of authentic recipes inspired by major American cities. On Sunday, the American food adventure will continue outdoors, with a selection of food trucks installed along the track for lunch as close as possible to the action,” specifies the organization.
A true monument of trotting, the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race is the most popular race in France each year, culminating in more than 17.7 million euros in bets for the 2025 edition. It is also the best-funded trotting race in the country, with a total of one million euros in allocation, including 450,000 euros for the winner.
The ticket office of the Prix d’Amérique Festival is now open. Several packages are offered: from simple entry for the races to the complete experience over the entire weekend, including different hospitality offersnotably in the panoramic restaurant.
