PRIEVIDZA – Six firefighters from Prievidza responded to an incident at the grammar school in Prievidza after a chemical laboratory explosion resulted in injuries to two people, according to Marián Petrík, spokesman for the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps in Trenčín.

Firefighters wearing respiratory apparatus examined the chemical classroom. Reports indicate that the explosion did not cause critically important structural damage, and windows remained intact.

Petra Klimešová,spokeswoman for the Operational Center of the Emergency Medical Service of the Slovak Republic,stated that paramedics treated a 43-year-old woman experiencing breathing difficulties.

“The eighteen -year -old patient was taken to the hospital in bojnice with the neck of the neck and the superficial injuries of other body parts,” Klimešová added.

Police Investigate the Explosion

Six HaZZ members from Prievidza were dispatched with two vehicles. The two injured individuals were found outside the building and were attended to by the Emergency Medical Service of the Slovak Republic.
