Christmas trams once again decorate Prague. On Saturday, they hit the streets of the capital for the first time, where the people of Prague will be able to see them until the beginning of January.
This year’s fleet has several new additions, for example trolleybuses are also decorated. For the entire event, the Transport Company of the Capital City of Prague cooperates with the non-profit organization Milý Ješíšku, which helps children from orphanages.
Christmas markets started at the same time on Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square in Prague. In the afternoon, the Old Town Square was filled with thousands of people who came to see the first light animation of the Christmas tree. It started at 16:30 and lasted a few minutes. She was accompanied by the song Vnáce na míru by Eva Farná, which was sung by a children’s choir in the square.
