President Prabowo Subianto summoned the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, after a series of cases of free nutritional menu (MBG). Dadan said there were a number of instructions submitted by Prabowo related to MBG.
Dadan initially explained the number of Nutrition Fulfillment Services Units (SPPG) that had been operating until now reached 9,615 units. In total, there were 31 million recipients.
“The achievement of the operational number of SPPG has reached 9,615 and has served approximately 31 million beneficiaries,” Dadan said in his statement, Sunday (9/28/2025).

Dadan also reported the number of extraordinary events (KLB) of poisoning that occurred throughout the program implementation. In the period January 6-31 July 2025, 2,391 SPPG were formed with 24 cases of events and on August 1-September7 2025 increased 7,244 SPPG with 47 cases of events.
“Data shows that many cases experienced by SPPG who are just operating because HR still need flight hours,” he said.
Dadan explained that other factors that triggered the incident were the quality of raw materials and water conditions. He also mentioned there was a violation of standard operating procedures (SOP) by the MBG kitchen.
Prabowo then delivered a number of instructions, namely:

Dadan said Prabowo expressed his concern over various incidents that occurred. He said Prabowo ordered an increase in SPPG governance to prevent recurring poisoning.
Ask for a chef trained-Rapid Test
Prabowo also ordered that SPPG had a trained chef. He also asked the kitchen to produce the MBG menu equipped with a rapid test to check food quality.
Order to guarantee sterilization
Prabowo also instructed that each SPPG has a food tray sterilization tool. He said SPPG also had to install a water filter to guarantee the water quality used.
Install CCTV
Prabowo also requested that the SPPG be equipped with CCTV connected directly to the center. Prabowo hopes that the move can strengthen the quality of services and ensure the national nutritional fulfillment program runs safer and more trusted.
