PPPK Serang Regency: BOS Funds Boost Part-Time Incentives

by Archynetys News Desk

ATTACK – Thousands of Government Employees with part-time Work Agreements (PPPK) in Serang Regency, Banten, received encouraging news.

Apart from the honorarium that has been guaranteed by the regional government, these teaching staff will also receive additional incentives.

This additional incentive comes from the School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS).

This policy was made possible after the relaxation of regulations which previously did not allow BOS funds to be used to provide additional incentives for non-ASN teaching staff.

Head of the Elementary School Development Division at the Serang Regency Education and Culture Service, Abidin Nasyar, said the policy was part of the regional government’s efforts to improve the welfare of teachers, especially those who still have part-time PPPK status.

According to Abidin, this step also cannot be separated from the attention of the Regent of Serang, Ratu Rachmatuzakiyah, who is pushing for more support for teaching staff.

“This is a form of the Regent’s concern for teachers and education staff. She wants to ensure that educators, especially those who still have part-time PPPK status, still receive support so they can work more calmly,” said Abidin, Thursday (12/3/2026).

He explained that the amount of additional incentives received would be adjusted to the capabilities of each school, considering that the source of the funds came from BOS.

However, at maximum, the incentive value can reach around IDR 2,130,000.

This figure is outside the honorarium currently provided by the Serang Regency Government.

Currently, the district government allocates an honorarium of around IDR 1 million per month for school operators and around IDR 1.2 million for 3,587 part-time PPPK teaching staff.

“The amount of the incentive depends on the capabilities of each school. However, at least there is an addition that can help improve the welfare of teachers,” he explained.

Abidin added that the policy of providing additional incentives is planned to apply throughout the 2026 fiscal year.

The regional government will also carry out periodic evaluations so that this program can continue to run.

“The hope is that this program can continue. If possible, in the future we will encourage this policy to become a more permanent program to support the welfare of teachers in Serang Regency,” he concluded. ***
