WEST PESIRIR – Tuesday, January 13 2026 – The Regent of Pesisir Barat gave a direct response to complaints from Government Employees with part-time Work Agreements (PPPK) who came from distant areas, such as Bangkunat and Lemong Districts. These employees previously worked in their respective areas of residence, but their placement based on a Decree (SK) resulted in them being transferred to the Regional Government (Pemda).
The meeting to discuss the arrangement of the part-time PPPK was held in the Payung Agung Room, Floor 4, Pesisir Barat Regional Government Office Complex. During the meeting, the Regent said that the current placement policy had given rise to complaints regarding long travel distances, high transportation costs, and the risk of reducing the effectiveness of employee performance.
The Regent emphasized that all part-time PPPKs should be returned to their original assignment locations, especially for teaching staff who previously served in education units in their areas of origin.
“We have to pay attention to conditions in the field. Many part-time PPPKs come from distant areas such as Bangkunat and Lemong. If they are placed in the Regional Government, it will certainly be burdensome and disrupt performance. Therefore, I emphasize that the part-time PPPKs should be returned to their original place of work,” said the Regent.
According to the Regent, this policy is important to maintain the smooth running of public services, especially in the education sector, as well as providing a sense of justice and comfort for part-time PPPK members. By returning employees to their original locations, the teaching and learning process and community services can continue to run optimally.
The meeting was attended by relevant officials within the West Pesisir Regency Government, including BKPSDM, the Education Service, and other technical agencies. Regional governments are asked to immediately follow up on the Regent’s direction by issuing an official decision so that the placement of part-time PPPKs will return to their respective domiciles and initial duties (Diskominfotiksan release)
