The local distributor specified that energy service interruptions occurred due to the fall of tree huts.
As a result of the wind and rain on the afternoon of this Saturday, December 20, in a rural area, chalas and some tree branches fell on some drivers, causing interruptions in the energy supply.
The affected areas were mainly Colonia Roca for a brief period, Colonia Ayuí and Osvaldo Magnasco.
Due to the characteristics of the phenomenon, cooperative personnel had to tour the lines to remove the drivers’ chalas, restoring service in most of the affected areas before 5:00 p.m.
Recommendations
The local distributor also regretted “the interruptions in the electricity supply caused by the reasons stated above”, reiterating that “it is important that the owners of land close to the energy conductors carry out the corresponding maintenance work (pruning) of trees to reduce the impact of the chalas on the distribution system in order to reduce or avoid power supply cuts.”
