Pope & Mongolian President Meet – Vatican News

The Pope met with visiting Mongolian President Khürelsukh in the Vatican. The talks held at the Pontifical Council of State mentioned cooperation in the field of culture, as well as the contribution of the Church in Mongolia, especially in the fields of health and education.

(Vatican News Network)Pope Leo XIV met with Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh at the Vatican Apostolic Building on December 4. Subsequently, President Khurelsukh met with Cardinal Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See, and Monsignor Blage, Under-Secretary-General for Relations with Countries and International Organizations at the Holy See State Council.

An announcement from the Holy See Press Office stated that during the talks held by the Holy See State Council, “both sides mentioned the good relations between the Holy See and Mongolia and the willingness to develop this relationship also in the cultural field.”

The announcement stated that during the conversation, both parties emphasized “the positive contributions made by the local Catholic Church to Mongolian society, especially in the fields of education and medical care.”
