A Region in Remembrance: Umbria’s Tribute to Pope Francis

In a solemn declaration, Stefania Proietti, President of the umbria Region, has announced a regional day of mourning to honor the life and legacy of Pope Francis. As a mark of respect, flags will be flown at half-staff at all regional institutional offices, both central and peripheral, as well as at regional instrumental bodies. This symbolic gesture underscores the region’s collective grief and its recognition of Pope Francis’s significant impact.
