The America of the 1940s/1950s, of the infinite plains, the infinite oceans, jazz and the bomb of Hiroshima. The heroic events of the artistic avant -garde that migrated from Europe to the new world. This is the stage of Jackson Pollock’s torment, the giant of abstract expressionism and the action painting. On the white of the canvases, on the white of silence, on the white of an infinite loneliness, Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner scream dance their symbiosis, their love, their desperate slow to move away. Pollock can’t hold the tension of art, success, having to be. Lee Krasner – partner and artist no less important – although attracted by his fire of darkness, can’t make him be, not to be. It is not the photograph of their life, but a cartography of inner ghosts. It is the post mortem dance of the torment of the relationship. And after each show the usual aperitif offered by the theater!
