A police officer is being investigated after allegedly leaving the scene of a collision with a cyclist on June 6, according to a police statement released on June 7. The incident occurred on Keppel Road in the direction of the Marina Coastal Expressway at approximately 3:10 PM.
The cyclist, a 41-year-old male, was conscious when transported to Singapore General hospital, as confirmed by both the police and the Singapore Civil Defense Force.
initial investigations suggest that the 30-year-old officer, a member of the Special Operations Command (SOC), was unaware of the crash until contacted by the Traffic Police. Upon notification, the officer promptly returned to the location.
