A suspect who probably tried to flee after a police raid on an apartment on the Westindiskade in Stad has been arrested and taken to hospital with injuries. The incident in the East Indian Quarter happened around 7:30 p.m.
The hospital visit was necessary after the suspect fell of at least ten meters from a balcony at the rear of the house. Eyewitnesses saw shortly before that masked police officers were trying to gain access to the apartment.
After ambulance personnel had taken care of the victim, the arrest and a hospital visit followed. A police spokesperson could not say what the victim is suspected of due to an ongoing investigation.
