“Scythe” – February 7

The legendary rock musical by Galt McDermott, Jerome Ragni and James Rado will be presented from 19:00 tomorrow on the stage of Opera Plovdiv, under the direction of Veselka Kuncheva, with conductor Konstantin Dobroikov. The soloists are Nikolay Vodenicharov-Niketsa, Tsveti Penyashki, Elena Sirakova, Michael Fleming and others, together with the orchestra, choir and ballet of Opera Plovdiv. The play carries a message of freedom, love and rebellion from the 1960s.

The Magic Flute – February 13

Symphony concert – February 19

The virtuoso violinist Liya Petrova will give a concert with the Plovdiv Opera Orchestra conducted by Grigor Palikarov. The program is suitable for both connoisseurs and new audiences.

“Tosca” – February 26

Puccini’s iconic opera opens at 7pm, telling a dramatic story of love, jealousy and power with famous arias. With the special participation of Tanya Ivanova, Ivaylo Mihailov and Carlos Almager, together with the Choir and Orchestra of Opera Plovdiv. This is a highlight of the opera program for the month.

“Krai Maritsa” – February 16

The folklore concert of the Thrace Ensemble starts at 7:00 p.m., presenting Bulgarian traditions through dance, music and an authentic stage performance. That’s it a premier event celebrating Thracian heritage by the Maritsa River. Perfect for fans of national folklore.
