Buy an electricity token for IDR 50 thousand or IDR 100 thousand, how many kWh can you get?
Prepaid PLN customers can buy electricity tokens with various nominal amounts of up to IDR 1 million, according to their needs or requirements.
The electricity token code that has been obtained is then entered into the meter to get electric power.
After the electricity token is entered, the kWh amount will be displayed on the meter obtained.

The nominal amount of electricity tokens purchased will also be deducted from regional Road Lighting Tax (PPJ) according to local government policy.
For example, the following PPJ Jakarta:
- Up to 2,200 VA: 2.4 percent
- 3,500-5,500 VA: 3 percent
- 6,600 VA and above: 4 percent.
The formula for calculating the amount of kWh obtained is as follows:
- (Token nominal – regional PPJ): basic electricity tariff = kWh obtained.

For example, the non-subsidized 900 VA household in Jakarta buys electricity tokens for IDR 50,000 or IDR 100,000, this is the kWh they get:
The electricity you get if you buy a token is IDR 50 thousand
- (IDR 50,000 – 2.4 percent) : IDR 1,352 = kWh obtained
- (Rp. 50,000 – Rp. 1,200): Rp. 1,352 = kWh obtained
- IDR 48,800 : IDR 1,352 = kWh obtained
- IDR 48,800 : IDR 1,352 = 36.09 kWh (rounded).
The electricity you get if you buy a token is IDR 100 thousand
- (Rp. 100,000 – 2.4 percent): Rp. 1,352 = kWh obtained
- (Rp. 100,000 – Rp. 2,400): Rp. 1,352 = kWh obtained
- IDR 97,600 : IDR 1,352 = kWh obtained
- IDR 97,600 : IDR 1,352 = 72.19 kWh (rounded).
