PLN Home Charging: Enhanced EV Services Now Available

PT PLN (Persero) officially launched Ultima Home Charging Services (HCS) as the latest version of the Electric Vehicle Charging Service (EV) at home. Comes with a shorter and more practical installation process, HCS Ultima is an important breakthrough in improving electric vehicle charging services in Indonesia.

Different from the previous version, HCS Ultima was designed shorter and more practical. This service is integrated in the PLN system throughout the process ranging from submissions, installations, to after-sales services can be done end-to-end and real-time through the PLN Mobile application, where the previous applicant’s service cannot see the progress of each stage in real-time.

In terms of connection speed, HCS Ultima services are accelerated to only 7 working days for low -voltage airways. PLN Managing Director Darmawan Prasodjo explained that HCS Ultima was developed to answer the community’s needs for fast and practical charging facilities.

This step is an effort to increase public interest in switching electric vehicles.

“We present this latest service as a concrete step in supporting the acceleration of battery -based electric vehicle ecosystems (KBLBB) in Indonesia while encouraging government efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the transportation sector,” Darmawan said, in a written statement, Friday (29/8/2025).

Executive Vice President of PLN Retail Sales and Customer Service Daniel Lestanto explained that HCS Ultima was first launched in Surabaya, East Java on Wednesday (27/8) in conjunction with the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 event.

Furthermore, Daniel emphasized that PLN tried to bring services that were in accordance with customer expectations.

“As an HCS service provider, we hear what the customers want. For that we launch the HCS Ultima service. It does not stop there we also offer a special offer in the form of a 50 percent installation discount to accommodate the enthusiasm of the community,” Daniel said.

Daniel added that this promo is valid from August 27, 2025 to 30 June 2026 as a form of appreciation to customers to welcome the momentum of National Customer Day. Meanwhile, Director of Planning and Development of PLN Icon Plus Aditya Syarief Darmasetiwan added that the presence of the HCS Ultima service is expected to be the main choice of customers in charging their electric vehicles.

With HCS Ultima, users only need to fill in 1 to 2 times a week at home, especially for daily needs in the city.

“For customers who want to apply for the installation of HCS Ultima enough through the PLN Mobile application on the EV menu. After the submission, customers can monitor real-time until the installation of HCS Ultima is complete,” he concluded.
