Among the many benefits for retirees, there is one special benefit that does not require any work experienceor submitting long documentation. It is paid monthly, indefinitely, and its amount can surprise you. Currently, the amount is still PLN 6,589.67 gross, but from March 1 after indexation (5.3% rate) will amount to PLN 6,938.92 gross.
Importantly, you don’t even have to be insured with ZUS or KRUSto be able to receive them. All you need is one document and crossing a specific age limit – turning 100 years old.
The legal basis for the current benefit is the Act of October 18, 2024 on the honorary benefit for reaching 100 years of age (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1674).

The honorary benefit in 2026 is available to people born in 1926, i.e. those who will turn 100 in 2026.
What determines the amount of payouts?
The amount of the benefit is determined based on the rate applicable on the date of acquisition of the right. This means that people who meet the age condition after March 1, 2026they will receive a higher rate, i.e PLN 6,938.92 gross per month. For those who exceed the age limit earlier, the pre-indexation amount applies – PLN 6,589.67 gross.

Who pays this honorary benefit?
The payment is handled by the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), and in the case of farmers – by the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS). The benefit is valid for life. This means that once granted, it goes to your account every month – until the end of your life. People who have never been insured must submit a simple declaration and a document confirming age.

Currently, the so-called honorary benefit receives an age bonus 3,300 peoplewho are over 100 years old – this is what ZUS reports show.
Do I have to submit an application for the PLN 7,000 benefit? zloty?
In most cases, you don’t need to do anything – ZUS and KRUS grant them automatically. They are an exception people who were not insured in any of the systems. One must submit an application and provide a document confirming that you are over 100 years old.
This is one of the few benefits that is available regardless of work, seniority or contributions. You only need to meet one condition – age.

This benefit is a way of honoring the most experienced members of society. Granted for life, regardless of professional history, and paid automatically – it becomes a nice and well-deserved addition. And most importantly, its amount exceeds even most pensions in Poland.
