Google has started rolling out the October 2025 monthly software update to supported devices starting with the Pixel 7 series.
This update includes multiple system stability and UI improvements, including fixes for display freeze and blurry issues reported on the Pixel 10 series.
Please note that the Pixel 6 series released in 2021 will no longer be supported from this update.

According to content published on Google’s official help community, the October update includes the following fixes:
display and graphics
- Fixes screen flickering and sudden shutdown that occur under certain conditions (Pixel 7/7 Pro/7a)
- Fixed an issue where the screen would freeze or appear blurry under certain conditions (Pixel 10/10 Pro/10 Pro XL)
system
- Fixed an issue where the system became unstable under certain conditions (Pixel Tablet)
user interface
- Fixed an issue where a translucent background remained after camera startup (all Pixel 7 and later models)
- Fixed an issue where the flashlight status was not displayed in the Snapshot widget under certain conditions (all Pixel 9 series and later models)
- Fixed an issue where System UI would crash when starting or stopping a cast in “Media Output Switcher” (all Pixel 7 and later models)

Please note that this update does not include fixes for the October 2025 Android security patch (2025-10-01 / 2025-10-05), and no security-related changes have been made. The content is mainly focused on stability improvements and bug fixes.
How to apply updates
The update is being rolled out in stages starting today, and affected devices will receive notifications one after the other. When a notification appears, follow the on-screen instructions to install.
