Google has officially unveiled its latest foldable phone, the ‘Pixel 10 Pro Fold’. The tech giant announced the device on August 20th, highlighting its advancements in durability and artificial intelligence integration.

The Pixel 10 Pro fold marks a significant step forward as the first foldable device to achieve an IP68 rating for waterproof and dustproof capabilities. this enhancement addresses a common vulnerability in foldable phones, which are often susceptible to damage from sand and dust intrusion. The improved resistance is attributed to structural design modifications.

According to Google, the Pixel 10 pro Fold boasts twice the durability of its previous iteration, thanks to the implementation of a newly developed Gearless hinge. The device also features a new Super Actua Flex display, incorporating ultra-thin glass and a double shock absorption film.Google claims thes improvements enable the phone to withstand folding for over 10 years. The internal screen measures 8 inches, while the external screen is 6.4 inches, with both screens supporting brightness levels of up to 3,000 nits.

Battery capacity has also been increased, with Google stating that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is equipped with the largest battery in the foldable series, providing up to 30 hours of use. In addition to high-speed charging, reaching up to 50% in 30 minutes, the device supports QI2, the latest wireless charging standard. A magnetic structure called ‘Pixelsnap’ is integrated within the device, facilitating easy attachment to charging stands or ring accessories.
