Photography Overview: What Photographers Need to Know

Black Friday 2025 is here! In our large deal overview we show you the offers that photographers should definitely take a look at.

The time has finally come, the biggest shopping day of 2025 has started. Exactly at 00:01 a.m. on November 28th. This year’s Black Friday offers have gone online at numerous retailers and manufacturers. In the last few hours I have clicked through hundreds of offers, compared prices and picked out the deals that you should definitely take a look at.

In our overview I will focus primarily on interesting camera offers – the selection of discounted lenses is simply too large to be shown in a cross-manufacturer overview. If you are interested in cheap lenses, it’s best to stop by your trusted specialist retailer and go straight to the Black Friday offers from the lens manufacturer you want.

This article is regularly updated and updated. Prices can change at any time. Last updated: November 28, 2025 at 7:09 p.m.

Sony Deals

» Black Friday offers from Sony at: Calumet | Koch | Erhardt | Photo pro | The world

Sony is focusing on four cameras on Black Friday this year: The Sony A7 IV, A7 III, A7R V and Sony A6700. These models have also been reduced in recent days as part of Black Week.

Sony A6700 for €1,089

I would particularly like to highlight the offer for them Sony A6700among other things because the price has fallen a little further compared to the last few days. I also remember that there wasn’t a particularly good Black Friday deal on this camera last year. That’s different this year. Sony’s best APS-C camera has a reduced price of €1,089, according to Geizhals’ price comparison a new low price.

Sony A6700 for only €1,089

Sony A7 IV for €1,849

Die A7 IV is Sony’s absolute top seller and one of the most popular full-frame cameras of recent years. The Sony A7 V, which will be officially presented on December 2, 2025, will have a difficult legacy. For Black Friday, the A7 IV is now reduced to €1,849, around €1,000 below its RRP. According to rumors, the price of the new Sony A7 V will be €2,999 – that’s a significant price difference that makes the Sony A7 IV an interesting option again on Black Friday.

Canon Deals

» Black Friday offers from Canon at: Calumet | Koch | Erhardt | Photo profi | Mundus

Canon EOS R6 II for €1,799

With Canon I was particularly curious about where they were Canon EOS R6 Mark II on this year’s Black Friday. Canon recently introduced the EOS R6 Mark III, the successor to the extremely popular R6 II, so one could hope that there would be a good offer for the R6 II on Black Friday.

This good offer also comes with a price of €1,799, but Canon is not starting a “sale” for the camera. Instead, the manufacturer is quoting the price that was due for the R6 II exactly a year ago, i.e. on Black Friday 2024.

Canon EOS R6 II for €1,799

Canon EOS R8 for €999

In my opinion, the offer for them is a real hit Canon EOS R8. The full-frame camera has always felt like it has flown somewhat under the radar in recent years (unfairly in my opinion) and now it has slipped below the €1,000 limit for the first time. Only €999 will be due for Black Friday 2025, according to Geizhals’ price comparison new low price.

Canon EOS R8 for €999

Canon EOS R5 II, R5 and R7

The best price for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II seems to be at €3,999 this year. That’s a good price for the camera, which actually costs €4,799, but the DSLM was a little cheaper at the Canon weekend sale last September, for €3,899 to be exact.

There are further offers from Canon for the older R5 and the R7. These two deals were also valid in the last few days as part of Black Week:

Panasonic Deals

» Black Friday offers from Panasonic at: Calumet | Cook | Erhardt | Photo professional

Panasonic S5D + 28-40mm + 26mm for €799

Panasonic is attracting attention with some really strong deals this year. Let’s start by looking at the Panasonic S5D together with that 18-40mm f/4.5-6.3 Lens. The full-format camera, which was introduced in October 2024 (but is basically based on the S5 from 2020), costs only €799 today together with the lens mentioned. Additionally, this is also free 26mm f/8 Pancake added as a second lens. Yes, the 26mm isn’t great with an aperture of f/8, but you know: you don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

In my opinion, a really good deal for full-frame beginners!

Panasonic S5D + 28-40mm + 26mm for €799

Panasonic S9 for €899

Let’s continue with that Panasonic S9. The extremely compact full-format camera was one of the surprises of the year in 2024, but it does not have a viewfinder and, with an RRP of €1,699, was too expensive for some. On Black Friday 2025 the price now drops to just €899 for the case. The S9 could perhaps be interesting for some at this price, especially as a compact second camera for on the go.

Nikon Deals

» Black Friday offers from Nikon at: Calumet | Cook | Erhardt

Let’s look over to Nikon. I discovered the best Nikon prices at Foto Erhardt at the beginning of Black Friday. An additional discount of 5% applies to some Nikon cameras with the code BLACKFRIDAY. Meanwhile, retailers like Calumet have caught up with prices.

Nikon Z5 II for €1,449

As Nikon launches the new one in April 2025 Nikon Z5 II presented, I decided to add “a first-class price-performance ratio” in the title of my article. I thought the RRP of €1,899 was fair and had suspected that we might end up at around €1,600 for Black Friday.

But things have gotten even better, the Nikon Z5 II is now available for just €1,449. If you are not in a hurry and want to accept a delivery time of 1-3 months, you can also purchase the camera from Amazon for €1,399. That is a new low price.

Nikon Z5 II for €1,449

Nikon Z8 for €3,599

The aforementioned 5% discount at Foto Erhardt results in the currently best Black Friday price for them Nikon Z8. The camera only costs €3,599 there, while most other retailers charge €3,799.

Nikon Z6 III for €1,994

I also find the deal for them exciting Nikon Z6 IIIbecause we slipped below the limit of €2,000 there.

Nikon Z6 III for €1,994

Nikon Z5 for €799

At Foto Erhardt I was also able to Nikon Z5 is available for just €799 – definitely worth a look for full-frame beginners, similar to the R8 from Canon and the S5D from Panasonic. I could imagine that this deal will sell out quickly; at most other retailers the Z5 currently costs €1,000 or more.

Nikon Z50 II for €758

Die Nikon Z50 II It’s currently available for €758 – a great price for the comparatively new APS-C camera, which was introduced almost exactly a year ago with a recommended retail price of €999. I felt the price-performance ratio was fair even back then, so the camera for €758 is a very good deal in my opinion.

Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II

At the Nikon Z6 II and the Nikon Z7 II The manufacturer calls up roughly the Black Friday prices from last year, the Z6 II is even €50 more expensive than in 2024. In concrete terms, that means: €1,249 for the Z6 II and €1,999 for the Z7 II. You can do it, but you don’t have to.

Fujifilm Deals

» Black Friday offers from Fuji at: Calumet | Cook | Erhardt | Photo professional

As in recent years, Fujifilm is acting rather cautiously on Black Friday. The manufacturer (unlike Canon, Sony and Nikon, for example) also rarely attracts attention with cashback and instant discount campaigns. As a result, Fujifilm cameras are relatively stable in price. An example: The Fuji X-T5 cost €1,678 on Black Friday 2023, two years later it now costs €1,689 at most retailers.

Fujifilm X-E5 for €1,329

I still looked for the best possible deals for them Fujifilm X-E5 wanted because this camera is currently one of the most wanted Fujifilm cameras. Surprisingly, the camera has actually become more than €200 cheaper since its presentation in June 2025. I was able to find the best price at Foto Erhardt (coupon code BLACKFRIDAY), where the camera costs €1,329 in both black and silver.

Fujifilm X-E5 for €1,329

Otherwise, Fujifilm is currently running one of the rather rare cashback promotions, so you can also save a bit on many cameras like the X-T50, X-M5 and lenses.

OM System OM-3 for €1,604

As far as reduced OM System cameras are concerned, you are more likely to find them in specialist retailers. The first thing I did was look for deals for them OM System OM-3 I was looking for one and found it for €1,604 at Foto Erhardt and Calumet. There is a small Black Friday discount and you can get €200 back through a current cashback campaign.

OM System OM-1 II for €1,530

The offer for them is also quite a hit OM System OM-1 Mark II. There is currently a whopping €500 cashback here, so the camera costs around €1,530 at Calumet and Foto Erhardt. When I look at the price histories of Geizhals and Idealo, the camera has never been so cheap.

General information about Black Friday

How long are the offers valid?

In the photo industry, most offers end on December 1st, 2025 (the so-called Cyber Monday) at 11:59 p.m. Individual discount campaigns also run for a few days longer. If there are particularly good offers with high demand, prices may increase again at an early stage. If in doubt, you shouldn’t wait too long to make a purchase.

How good are the deals really?

There is no general answer to this, but experience shows that many offers are the best deals of the year (exceptions prove the rule). One thing is certain: There will be no better offers this calendar year.

Where can I find the best Black Week deals?

At (almost) all specialist retailers. The Black Week offers are partly specified by the manufacturers, but here and there retailers have also prepared individual promotions and deals. Here we focus primarily on the offers of retailers with whom we have personal contact.
