The time has finally come, the biggest shopping day of 2025 has started. Exactly at 00:01 a.m. on November 28th. This year’s Black Friday offers have gone online at numerous retailers and manufacturers. In the last few hours I have clicked through hundreds of offers, compared prices and picked out the deals that you should definitely take a look at.
In our overview I will focus primarily on interesting camera offers – the selection of discounted lenses is simply too large to be shown in a cross-manufacturer overview. If you are interested in cheap lenses, it’s best to stop by your trusted specialist retailer and go straight to the Black Friday offers from the lens manufacturer you want.

Sony is focusing on four cameras on Black Friday this year: The Sony A7 IV, A7 III, A7R V and Sony A6700. These models have also been reduced in recent days as part of Black Week.

Canon EOS R6 II for €1,799
With Canon I was particularly curious about where they were Canon EOS R6 Mark II on this year’s Black Friday. Canon recently introduced the EOS R6 Mark III, the successor to the extremely popular R6 II, so one could hope that there would be a good offer for the R6 II on Black Friday.
This good offer also comes with a price of €1,799, but Canon is not starting a “sale” for the camera. Instead, the manufacturer is quoting the price that was due for the R6 II exactly a year ago, i.e. on Black Friday 2024.

The best price for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II seems to be at €3,999 this year. That’s a good price for the camera, which actually costs €4,799, but the DSLM was a little cheaper at the Canon weekend sale last September, for €3,899 to be exact.

Panasonic S5D + 28-40mm + 26mm for €799
Panasonic is attracting attention with some really strong deals this year. Let’s start by looking at the Panasonic S5D together with that 18-40mm f/4.5-6.3 Lens. The full-format camera, which was introduced in October 2024 (but is basically based on the S5 from 2020), costs only €799 today together with the lens mentioned. Additionally, this is also free 26mm f/8 Pancake added as a second lens. Yes, the 26mm isn’t great with an aperture of f/8, but you know: you don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
In my opinion, a really good deal for full-frame beginners!
Panasonic S5D + 28-40mm + 26mm for €799
Panasonic S9 for €899
Let’s continue with that Panasonic S9. The extremely compact full-format camera was one of the surprises of the year in 2024, but it does not have a viewfinder and, with an RRP of €1,699, was too expensive for some. On Black Friday 2025 the price now drops to just €899 for the case. The S9 could perhaps be interesting for some at this price, especially as a compact second camera for on the go.

Let’s look over to Nikon. I discovered the best Nikon prices at Foto Erhardt at the beginning of Black Friday. An additional discount of 5% applies to some Nikon cameras with the code BLACKFRIDAY. Meanwhile, retailers like Calumet have caught up with prices.
Nikon Z5 II for €1,449
As Nikon launches the new one in April 2025 Nikon Z5 II presented, I decided to add “a first-class price-performance ratio” in the title of my article. I thought the RRP of €1,899 was fair and had suspected that we might end up at around €1,600 for Black Friday.
But things have gotten even better, the Nikon Z5 II is now available for just €1,449. If you are not in a hurry and want to accept a delivery time of 1-3 months, you can also purchase the camera from Amazon for €1,399. That is a new low price.

The aforementioned 5% discount at Foto Erhardt results in the currently best Black Friday price for them Nikon Z8. The camera only costs €3,599 there, while most other retailers charge €3,799.

The manufacturer (unlike Canon, Sony and Nikon, for example) also rarely attracts attention with cashback and instant discount campaigns. As a result, Fujifilm cameras are relatively stable in price. An example: The Fuji X-T5 cost €1,678 on Black Friday 2023, two years later it now costs €1,689 at most retailers.

A Black Friday promotion is running for a short time in the OM System online shop, where you can save 50% on selected lenses and accessories. These are reduced to 75mm f/1.8, 9-18mm f/4-5.6 II, 100-400mm f/5-6.3 IS, 300mm f/4 IS PRO, 20mm f/1.4 PRO and 8mm f/1.8 Fisheye PRO.
OM System OM-3 for €1,604
As far as reduced OM System cameras are concerned, you are more likely to find them in specialist retailers. Sigma has launched a small Black Friday promotion in its own shop, and a cashback promotion with discounts of up to €200 is running until December 1, 2025. So some glasses are certainly reduced, even if there aren’t really big discounts.

Of course, Amazon also gets involved on Black Friday. The offer includes countless discounted items from all possible categories – the “Camera & Photo” section is no exception. The deals on accessories such as memory cards or hard drives are particularly worthwhile; Amazon traditionally cuts a good figure here.
