PHOENIX — Three people were taken to the hospital following a crash involving a car and a light rail train Friday.

Officers were called to the area of Highland and Central avenues just after noon for reports of a crash involving a car and a light rail train, according to Phoenix Police.
Two passengers from the train and the driver of the car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. It is not known if impairment was a factor.
Passengers should expect 25 minute delays on the light rail, according to Valley Metro.
