Phoenix-area drivers should prepare for a weekend of freeway closures as the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has announced multiple restrictions for September 12-15. Closures will affect Interstate 10, loop 101 Pima Freeway, and Loop 202 Santan Freeway.
Westbound I-10 Closure in Phoenix
Westbound I-10 will be closed between the “Split” interchange (I-17) and Seventh Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday too 9 a.m. Sunday. This closure is for scheduled maintenance and inspections, according to ADOT.

The northbound lanes of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed in Scottsdale between shea boulevard and princess Drive/Pima Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m.Monday.This closure is part of an ongoing freeway widening project.
The on-ramps to the freeway from Via de Ventura and 90th Street will also be closed. The off-ramp from the southbound loop 101 at Raintree Drive remains closed and is scheduled to reopen in early november. The freeway widening project is expected to be completed early next year.
