Petronel in Prague & Ondřej Brzobohatý’s Angel Carol

by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

“The song is the central musical motif of the Virgin Mary in the musical Anděl Páně, which is performed in Prague’s Karlín Music Theater. I thought it would be nice if our Petronel sang it with a slightly altered text. We created a simple video clip, which was beautifully shot by Jan Pivoňka,” Brzobohatý described, adding that the carol should bring people “peace, calm and humility to this embarrassed and fearful times”.

Singer Ondřej Rychlý also has a similar wish these days: “The essence of Christmas lies in people and their closeness to each other. I believe that we will be able to transfer this to the listeners as well,” he said.

Brzobohatý continues the author’s Christmas-fairy tale creation with Angel Carol. In the past, his other compositions were also successful with listeners. A hit was the Prayer from the movie Angel of the Lord 2 (2016) performed by Vojtěch Dyk or the song Hádej sung by Ondřej Ruml, which is heard in the fairy tale Twelve Months (2012).
