“Beck” star dead
The 73-year-old is best known for his role as police detective Martin Beck in the film series “Beck”, which recently premiered its 53rd film.
Another central figure in the Beck films was the character “The neighbor in Beck”. The role was played by Ingvar Hirdwall, who passed away almost three years ago. He lived to be 89 years old.

Some time after Hirdwall’s death, actress and widow Marika Lindström (79) came out and said that her husband had taken his own life.
She stated that they had no intention of keeping it a secret, but says that it has not been an easy thing to talk about.

Haber tells Aftonbladet how he reacted when he got the message.
– I was shocked, and it really wasn’t expected. It is very sad. But as I understand it, he had a very difficult time towards the end, he says.

Reveals the cause of death
Lindström has previously come out and said that she chose to be open about how her husband died in order to break the silence about suicide and mental health.

– Both he and I have been in pain many times. Then we managed to talk our way out of it, but this time it didn’t work. We tried, but in the end he couldn’t take it anymore.

– A damn sorrow
Now, nearly three years later, Haber has opened up about how he remembers his friend, writes Hänt.
– With great warmth and love. We also had private contact, so it is a big personal loss, but also a loss for the films, says Peter to the newspaper.
