In a new episode of ‘Gillis family: Massa is Kassa’, Peter Gillis (63) is entering familiar territory: the court. This time not for himself, but for his girlfriend Wendy, who fights with her son Joey for an access arrangement.

Wendy and her son’s father have always had a co-parenting arrangement, until a few years ago. According to Jeugdzorg, because of her performances, the businesswoman would have participation in the reality series and her own webshop a life too ‘richly filled’. And so she doesn’t see Joey for a long time. Wendy does not agree with that and so she decides to go to court with Peter. “Wendy can’t stand injustice and that little one is suddenly torn from her life,” he explains. “That is very painful,” she agrees.
The legal battle does not sit in the cold clothes and Wendy can no longer control her tears just before departure. “It’s your most precious possession. I hope I get it back,” she sobs. “I’m not a bad mother.” According to Peter, especially her 6-year-old son is the victim of this legal struggle and that breaks Wendy’s mother’s heart. “I want the best for my little one and I am convinced that it is with me.”

In good spirits, the couple enter the court, but there is still much uncertainty after the hearing. “In fact, it all started very positively,” she starts her story. But soon three parties turned out to be turning against her. “I don’t know what it will be, but I hope I will get the care of Joey back,” she says. Despite the grief, Peter stands by her side to support her. “Keeping good courage and not giving up. The right will ever prevail.”
Two weeks after the hearing, Wendy decided to contact her lawyer about the ruling, but to her great surprise it is still unknown. “I don’t have a statement. Bizarre this,” she says emotionally.
Her daughter Elize also has a hard time with the legal struggle and hopes to be able to put her brother in her arms again soon. “If things go the other way, then I don’t see my brother anymore. I am very sorry.”
