Witan Sulaeman received the ball from Allano Lima in the penalty box. It’s just that he failed to finish to give Persija the lead, with the ball going wide.
Witan’s chance in the 69th minute also did not lead to the goal. In fact, PSIM threatened Persija with Sheva Savio’s hard kick which Andritany just punched.
Persija opened the scoring in the 76th minute. Maxwell headed the corner ball at Witan and it was returned by the Persija winger. Maxwell then fired a horizontal kick that the PSIM goalkeeper couldn’t anticipate.
In injury time, Persija doubled their lead and sealed the win. Allano grabbed Allan Cardoso’s cross with a left footed shot.
PSIM almost reduced the deficit in the last minute. Nermin Haljeta’s shot was still blocked by Andritany.
