Pereiro de Aguiar: Spring-Summer Activities in Ourense | CIM Program

The Muller Information Center (CIM) of Pereiro de Aguiar has presented its program of activities for the spring and summer of 2026, focused on equality, the prevention of gender violence and the empowerment of women. The activities began this Sunday, March 8, with the reading of a manifesto on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

On Friday, March 13, a rally will take place at 12:00 p.m. in the Parque da Igualdade (Cachamuíña), in which students from the Ben-Cho-Shey, Guillem Brown and Miraflores schools will participate. Between March and May, workshops on sex, love and masculinities will be held, led by Xosé Cabido and Priscila Retamozo (Prisma) for the students of the Guillem Brown School.

In April, the IX Meeting of the Local Interinstitutional Coordination Board against Gender Violence will be held, whose objective is to coordinate the action of the different agents involved in the fight against sexist violence in the municipalities that make up the CIM Padre Feijoo.

In May, a feminist self-defense course will be taught by Cristy Tojo, with extensive experience in martial arts and feminist self-defense training, aimed at strengthening the security and autonomy of women in situations of daily violence. Finally, between May and June the show “Travesías” by Raquel Queizás will take place, aimed at the students of the Guillem Brown School and the Concilia del Concello classroom.
