Concluding “Nonviolence and Meditation” Series

The island of Elba is set to host the concluding session of its “nonviolence and Meditation” series, a programme designed to foster inner peace and promote a culture of non-violence. This final meeting, the eighth in the series, will take place on friday, May 9th, from 18:00 to 19:15 at the sala Gran Guardia di Portoferraio.

A Structured Path to Inner Peace

Each session follows a structured format, designed to guide participants through a process of reflection and sharing. The format includes:

  • A 20-minute presentation focusing on an “inspiring” figure.
  • A 15-minute period of silent reflection.
  • A 20-minute sharing session among participants.

Spotlight on Marco Ferrini: A Modern Spiritual Guide

This final session will highlight the teachings of Marco Ferrini, a contemporary spiritual guide, philosopher, and the founder of the Bhaktivedanta Study Center and Popular University of Indirtive Studies. Graziano Rinaldi will introduce Ferrini.

Ferrini’s work centers on making ancient Indo-Vedic wisdom accessible and relevant to modern audiences, fostering a dialog between Eastern and Western philosophies. He has published over a thousand books, audio, and video materials.

Through his works,he offers practical tools to rediscover his potential, overcome crises and daily challenges, and make decisions with greater awareness and authenticity.

his contributions were recognized in 2012 when he was jointly awarded an honorary Ph.D. in Philosophy by the President of india and the Rector of Dev sanskriti University.

The Pillars of Ahimsa and Satya

Ferrini’s teachings, rooted in classic yoga, emphasize the principles of Ahimsa (non-violence) and Satya (truthfulness). These principles are presented as essential for rebuilding a world grappling with conflict and misinformation. These principles are increasingly relevant in today’s world, where global peace is threatened by ongoing conflicts and the spread of misinformation. According to the Global Peace Index, global peacefulness has deteriorated in recent years, highlighting the urgent need for initiatives promoting non-violence and truthfulness.

As in classic yoga,at the basis of his teachings and the life that inspires his numerous disciples ther are the principles of Ahimsa (non -violence) and Satya (truthfulness),two pillars that can resurrect our world battered by lies and war.
