Patsy Duffy’s Passing: A Community Remembers
We mourn the loss of Patsy Duffy, whose life touched many hearts in the community. Patsy passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished for generations.
beloved Husband and Father
Patsy was a beloved husband to Christina (Tene), who preceded him in death. He was an adored father to Connie (Eibhlin), Pearl, Siobhán (Joey), Elaine (Leslie), and Pauric (Patricia). His joy was multi-generational, as he was a devoted grandfather to Mark, Jack, Ben, Gavin, Lauren, Devin, Ella, and Daire, who currently resides in Melbourne.
Cherished Brother and Friend
Outside of his immediate family, Patsy was the cherished brother of Jim (Carmel), Josie, who also passed away, George (Maura), Ben, Sally (Joe), and Maureen (Aidan). His warmth and kindness extended to his nieces and nephews, making him a beloved figure in the community.
Honoring Patsy’s Memory
Patsy will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. His remains will be reposing at McCool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey on Sunday and Monday, January 26th and 27th, from 6 PM to 9 PM.
A funeral procession will leave McCool’s Chapel of Rest on Tuesday, January 28th, at 10:30 AM. A Requiem Mass will follow at 11 AM in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar. Interment of Patsy will take place in Drumboe cemetery.
The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the Parish Webcam, available at https://www.churchservices.tv/stranorlar, allowing those unable to attend in person to join in honor of Patsy’s memory.
Ways to Pay Tribute
The family requests that only family flowers be sent. As a way to commemorate Patsy’s life, donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Stranorlar, care of any family member.
The family asks for a moment of privacy on the morning of the funeral.
