Patrick (Paddy) McEntee, whose life was a testament to love, dedication, and resilience, has passed away peacefully at Corvoy, Ballybay, County Monaghan, on Friday, 31st January. Surrounded by his cherished family, Paddy took his final breath with a serene heart, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories that will forever be cherished.

In losing his daughter Ciara, long-time supporters, and brothers John and Michael, Paddy faced many personal losses. His valiant spirit never wavered, and he continued to find strength in the bonds shared with his sisters, Lilly and Een, until the very end. Paddy’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering support system, both within his immediate family and in the community he so deeply cherished.

Valedictory Service Details

Family and friends are invited to say their final farewells to Paddy McEntee. Smyth Funeral Directors, located in Ballybay with the postcode A75 DT93, will host a viewing on Sunday, 2nd February, from 4 PM to 8 PM. The bereaved can visit in private during these hours to share their memories of Paddy and to find solace in the company of others who knew and loved him.

On Monday, 3rd February at 11 AM, a funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary in Tullycorbett (postcode A75 FN36). Attendees are encouraged to gather supports after the ceremony for internment in the adjacent cemetery.

Given the sensitive nature of the occasion, the family requests that flowers remain family-focused. Yet tributes can take another form through donations in lieu to the dialysis unit at Beaumont Hospital. Contributions can be directed through Smyth Funeral Directors in Ballybay.
