There are already many dark days, weeks and months behind Patrice Aminati, who recently unexpectedly separated from presenter Daniel Aminati. She makes no secret of her illness and also shares with her followers when things aren’t going so well. As a person suffering from incurable cancer, she has already thought about the eventuality. In an interview with RTL she now talks about death – and how she imagines her last day.

“Then I would like to sit on the sofa with my parents. We would eat a piece of cake, drink a coffee” – Aminati would want nothing more and nothing less for her last day. Preferably “a nice piece of Eierschecke from Saxony,” as she specifies. That is “absolute happiness” for her.

Patrice Aminati: “It can actually be a relief”

Her attitude has continued to change over the last few years. “This illness throws you back to the minimum,” she says. Now she personally doesn’t need anything anymore. She sees positive things and gratitude even in the little things.

And then she talks more specifically about death. She says: “An illness can also be very debilitating, especially if it has been for many years.” And especially after a long health battle, according to Aminati, “death is not always the worst thing that can happen. It can actually be a relief.”
