The Academy of Education in Belarus has unveiled its significantly upgraded Republican Resource Center for Spiritual, Moral, and patriotic Education. The revitalized center, inaugurated on March 26, 2025, signifies a strengthened commitment to instilling traditional values in the nation’s youth.

Key Figures Unite to Champion Moral Development

The opening ceremony saw the convergence of prominent figures, highlighting the importance of this initiative. Among those in attendance were Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and zaslavl, Education Minister Andrei Ivanets, Archpriest Fedor Polotny from the Belarusian Orthodox Church, Academy Rector Irina Starovoitov, and key personnel from the Resource Center itself, including scientific director Galina Nikolayenko and sector head Olga Kuzmich.

Upgrades to facilitate Enhanced Learning and Collaboration

Originally housed within a single room, the Resource Center has undergone a considerable expansion. The updated facility now boasts increased workspace, a dedicated conference room, modern equipment, and an enriched library and media collection. These improvements are designed to foster a more effective and engaging learning habitat.

A key component of the inauguration was a working meeting focused on bolstering collaboration between the educational sector and the Belarusian Orthodox Church. Education Minister Andrei ivanets underscored the critical role of spiritual, moral, and patriotic education in shaping the future of Belarus.He emphasized that these efforts must be rooted in time-honored ideals and values. The cooperation between the educational sphere and the Belarusian Orthodox Church gains particular importance in connection with this, stated Ivanets, highlighting the synergy between secular and religious institutions.
