Iwkin and Schmidt, inspired by their experiences during a semester abroad on the US West Coast, noticed a distinct lack of pickleball facilities in Munich. their solution? Transforming a vacant riding hall into a vibrant pickleball venue. Since May 3, 2025, “Pato Pickleball” has opened its doors, offering daily access from 6 AM to midnight. The name “Pato” cleverly combines the founders’ names with a nod to Palo Alto,California,where they first encountered the sport.

The Pato Pickleball facility offers court rentals for both doubles and singles play. Court fees range from €40 to €50 per hour, depending on the time of day.
