Summer rugby already has a confirmed date for one of its regional classics. The Patagonia Seven will celebrate its 26th edition on January 10 and 11, 2026, once again consolidating itself as the protagonist of the summer calendar.
The event will take place in the traditional Bajada 12 of Rada Tilly, under the organization of Chenque Rugby Club and with the support of the local municipality.
This edition will have a special emotional charge, since it will be named after Jorge “Coco” Risso Cup. The decision seeks to pay tribute to one of the great references of the organizing club.
Risso is remembered as a trainer of generations, a coach and a key figure in the sporting and human construction of the institution, leaving a legacy in players and families who found a space of belonging in the club.
The tournament reaffirms its validity after more than two decades, standing out not only for the level of competition but for the natural environment and the climate of camaraderie. The Patagonia Seven is part of the grid of summer classics along with the Petróleo Seven, promoted by Calafate Rugby Club, and the Comodoro Rugby Club’s Nine.
