La Paz, Nov 22, 2025 (ATB Digital).- Six uniformed officers were injured after the attack on the Regional Command of the Bolivian Police in Patacamaya, the olive-green institution confirmed this Saturday. The authorities are investigating the case to identify those responsible.
“There are six injured police officers. The injured police officers are in the Sica Sica hospital, but they are going to go out to the city of La Paz, they are multiple contusions,” the commander of the Rural and Border Police, Javier Salgueiro, informed the Unitel network.
In this regard, the Sica Sica comprehensive center reported that five officers arrived early Saturday morning to be treated, two of them women, and were then transferred to Patacamaya.
“At around 2:40 a.m., five police officers were brought to the health facility with injuries and other bruises, obviously multiple contusions,” explained Néstor Tinta, a doctor at the Sica Sica hospital.
Early this Saturday, a group of hooded people broke into the Police offices, broke the windows of the building and destroyed the rooms.
The television report indicates that members of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc) arrived at the scene to begin the investigations.
The residents of the place explained that this is the only police module in the area, so they are concerned about the safety of the place. It is presumed that the attack was organized by smugglers.
