Comedian Park Mi-sun (58), who took a break from broadcasting due to an early stage breast cancer diagnosis, returns to viewers after about 9 months.

According to a broadcaster on the 18th, Park Mi-sun will be recording the tvN entertainment program ‘You Quiz on the Block‘ (You Quiz) at the end of this month. The broadcast is scheduled to air sometime next month. It is known that in this appearance, she will honestly share her feelings after cessation of broadcasting activities and her experience fighting breast cancer.

The day before, on the SBS entertainment program ‘My Too Cruel Manager-Secretary’, Park Mi-sun gave the latest news through her voice. In a phone call with actress Seon Woo Yong-yeo, who played mother and daughter in the drama ‘Sunpoong Obstetrics and Gynecology’, he said, “Mom, this is Mi-seon. Are you enjoying the (birthday) party? I wanted to be there with you more than anyone else, but I’m so sorry I couldn’t come with you. I’m so sorry because my health is like this.”

Park Mi-sun then added, “Thank you so much for always loving me so much and worrying about me like your own daughter. I will also take good care of my health. You should always be happy,” making Seonwoo Yong-yeo cry.

Park Mi-sun was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer during a regular health checkup early this year, and has since stopped broadcasting and has been receiving radiation therapy and drug treatment. Her husband, comedian Lee Bong-won, said on MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ last June, “(My wife) is receiving treatment well and is resting. I have been working for 38 years without even taking a month off, and I am using this opportunity to properly recharge.”

Jo Hye-ryun, a junior comedian, also said on ‘You Quiz on the Block’ on the 15th, “I received a call from Mi-seon saying, ‘I have completely finished treatment and thank you for praying for me.'” and “I was grateful that she was the first to tell me that I was getting better.”

Meanwhile, Park Mi-sun debuted as an open comedian for MBC in 1988, and married Lee Bong-won, a comedian for KBS open recruitment in 1993, and has one son and one daughter.
