The advisory was issued in response to an active police incident in the area of Broadway Street West and Grand River Street North between Highway 52 and William Street in Paris, Brant OPP said in a social media post on Saturday night.
“Please remain indoors with doors and windows locked and stay away from the area until further notice,” said Brant OPP.
There will be an increased police presence in the area during the investigation.
“We recognize the significant emotional impact that receiving a shelter-in-place can cause. The OPP is taking necessary precautions to resolve this situation,” said police.
Police said updates will be released as information becomes available.
