Amidst media reports suggesting a rescheduling due to the Eidul Azha holidays, Schehzad used X (formerly Twitter) to confirm the original date. He stated that no decision has been made to alter the budget schedule.

Schehzad had previously announced on X that the federal budget would be presented on June 10, with the Pakistan Economic Survey preceding it by one day.
Earlier, Planning minister Ahsan Iqbal announced the budget presentation for the next fiscal year would occur on June 2, featuring a 16 per cent decrease in development allocation, amounting to Rs921 billion, which could lead to the termination of approximately 200 ongoing development projects.
Last year, Finance Minister muhammad Aurangzeb presented his inaugural federal budget, totaling Rs18.9 trillion, which analysts noted was generally “in line with IMF guidelines.” Aurangzeb stated during the budget presentation that the government aimed to broaden the tax base to ease the burden on current taxpayers.
