Annabella Martinelli, a law student enrolled at the University of Bologna, disappeared from Padua – the city of residence – on 6 January. At the moment all hypotheses remain open, an initial voluntary removal cannot be ruled out
Veneto mountain rescue, firefighters, civil protection and law enforcement are searching in the Teolo area (Padua) for Annabella Martinelli, 22 years old, a law student enrolled at the University of Bologna, who has disappeared from Padua – the city of residence – since 6 January. That evening, around 8pm, she left home riding her bicycle, but never returned.
The bicycle has not yet been found at the moment
The latest cell phones connected to the cell phone, which has no longer been reachable since January 7, have made it possible to locate the Teolo area and for this reason the searches are concentrated here. The Alpine and Speleological Rescue rescuers, activated on the evening of 8 January by the Prefecture which coordinates the searches together with the Fire Brigade, are moving between Monte Grande, Monte della Madonna and Rocca Pendice, in the Euganean Hills area. However, family and friends, who in recent hours have issued an appeal on social media, do not rule out that she may have moved to Bologna or to areas close to the Emilian capital and invite anyone who has information about her to contact the Carabinieri.
Identikit of the missing girl
At the moment all hypotheses remain open, an initial voluntary removal cannot be ruled out. Annabella Martinelli is described as a tall, thin and athletic girl, with blonde bob hair and fuchsia tips. However, it is not excluded that he may have touched up his hairstyle in recent days.
