CHARLESTON , S.C. (WCIV) — The body of missing College of Charleston student Owen Kenney has been recovered, according to the Charleston Police Department.
CPD said that around 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Harbor Patrol units assisted by the Mount Pleasant Police Department, Charleston County Rescue, and Charleston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a body in the water near Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant.
After the body was recovered, the Charleston County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Owen Kenney, according to CPD.
Kenney was reported missing on Nov. 1. CPD later determined he had taken his own life walking on the Ravenel Bridge just before 4 a.m. on Oct. 31.
