The perpetrators are still at large.
A security guard at a nightclub near Oslo S was subjected to serious violence by two unknown perpetrators on Wednesday evening. The guard saw two people running after a third person.
– The guard has tried to intervene in an incident where two men are looking for a third person. They then went off guard instead, says operations manager Tor Gulbrandsen to VG.
Gulbrandsen says that the man was subjected to serious violence, and the police see this as a serious incident.
– The victim is seriously injured, but is conscious, the police write in a message to the press.
The doorman was subjected to both blows and kicks to the head and body. He was left lying on the ground, according to the operations manager.
– The police have spoken to the victim. He was picked up by an ambulance and taken to the emergency room, says Gulbrandsen to VG.
The perpetrators fled the scene. The police have vague descriptions of the men and are now working to secure leads, follow up witnesses and retrieve video surveillance from the scene.
– We have a good number of patrols in the area now, who are working on the case.
The police are in contact with the person whom the guard tried to help, but do not yet know anything about the cause of the incident.
The police reported the incident at 10:38 p.m.
