Orthodontic Treatment Effectiveness | Does it Work?

by Archynetys Health Desk

Good evening,
I’m with you for my 7 year old son.

About a year ago, during the first check-ups following oblique growth of the lower incisors, a deep bite was detected with the upper arch practically completely covering the lower one.

We relied on an orthodontist who, after x-rays and mouth measurements, suggested treatment with fixed braces.

The first, which my son has been wearing for 9 months now, is a quadhelix with the aim of creating space to allow the lower part not to be caged and to grow.

Two months ago, an appliance was added whose name I don’t remember but which is still similar on the lower part (where in the meantime the teeth have emerged in double rows as per expected overcrowding).

I wanted to ask your opinion on the therapy undertaken.

At the moment, even though it’s only been 2 months, the bottom hasn’t moved much while the top has actually expanded.
The upper front teeth are growing in with a little space in between and I’m starting to get a little worried.

My son was really cooperative despite the braces and I would like him to at least have evidence of an improvement and a possible end to the treatment.
