Proponents of bringing MLB to Orlando emphasize the ample economic benefits. An independant study conducted in 2023 projects that a new domed stadium,situated on a 35.5-acre site near SeaWorld and the Orange County Convention Center, could generate approximately 25,000 permanent jobs. Furthermore, the study estimates an economic impact exceeding $40 billion for Orange County over a 30-year period. The initiative is also projected to generate an additional $26 million annually in tourist growth taxes (TDT).
