New rules regarding pre-paid cards already apply in Orange method of activation and renewal “Unlimited calls, text messages and MMS to everyone + GB package”. The operator also simplified its name, changing it to “Unlimited for everyone + GB package.”
There are no funds in your account? There is a way
So what has changed? From now on, even if pre-paid Orange users do not have sufficient funds on their account, the cyclical version of the service will be activated or renewed automatically, but for a shorter time and with a smaller, adequate number of gigabytes – for all funds available in the account. In the case of the one-off variant, the proportional recalculation mechanism will only work when the user himself orders the activation of the service and the system detects that he is missing the full amount.
Moreover, Orange will try to renew the service for the first time on the last day of its validityand not 3 days earlier as before. The operator explains how it all works exactly:
For example, you try to activate the one-time service in the PLN 35 variant with a 25 GB package for 30 days, but you only have PLN 11.17 in your account. We will activate the service for PLN 11.17 for 10 days with a proportional 8 GB package. Partial zlotys are rounded up to PLN 1, and gigabytes to 1 GB.
In this way, Orange will enable users to use the funds accumulated in their account, without debiting the account with a credit for the purchase or renewal of the service. At the same time, it protects customers against unplanned consumption of funds for outgoing traffic – at price list rates, not promotional-package rates.
What if the account balance is PLN 0? Then the cyclical service will not be renewed immediately, but Orange will retry charging for 31 days after the end of the last cycle. If the customer tops up the account during this time, the service will turn on again and the operator will restore all previously unused gigabytes. In the one-time variant, the customer also has 31 days from the end of validity to reactivate the service to recover and total the unused transfer.
Activation or renewal of the service in a proportional option for a shorter period NO deletes the gigabytes accumulated so far. According to the regulations, the funds from the new (smaller) GB package will simply add up to the transfer that the customer has accumulated during previous activations or renewals.
Among the changes regarding unlimited services, there is one more – Orange is closing promotional version of servicesand “Unlimited calls, text messages and MMS + 15 GB trial”.
