Failures in Polish power plants. The first disturbing signals
In 2022, there was a loss of power in the new block of the Jaworzno Power Plant. The website zoneinwestorow.pl then alerted about further unplanned shutdowns of units of other power plants.
According to information from the Polish Power Exchange, these are blocks located in the following facilities: Połaniec, Opole, Kozienice, Turów. Therefore, a reserve block of the Dolna Odra Power Plant was activated.
“These are the largest energy units in the country. Meanwhile, the national energy system is on the verge of blackout,” we read on the website. Blackout is a term meaning a large-scale failure of the energy system.
