Jakarta –
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) revealed that the number of accounts related to online gambling (judol) continues to increase. At least until December 2025 there will be 31,382 accounts related to judol.
Chief Executive of OJK Banking Supervision Dian Ediana Rae said this figure increased from previous findings of 30,392 accounts. He said he had asked banks to block it.
“Regarding the eradication of online gambling which has a broad impact on the economy and financial sector, OJK has asked banks to block approximately 31,382 accounts, which previously amounted to 30,392 accounts,” said Dian in a virtual monthly press conference, Friday (9/1/2026).

This account was compiled from data submitted by the Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi). OJK then developed and adjusted the accounts with population data.
“From the data submitted by Komdigi, Komdigi has developed the report by asking banks to close accounts that match the population identity number and carry out enhanced due diligence,” said Dian.
This effort was carried out by OJK as protection for consumers. Apart from that, eradicating judol is necessary because it has a broad impact on the economy and financial sector.
