OneSpan Inc. has acquired Nok Nok Labs Inc., a provider of passwordless authentication software based on FIDO standards, aiming to advance a safer digital environment by providing a wider array of adaptable authentication methods.

The partnership, along with onespan’s FIDO2 security keys, enhances the company’s global offerings, providing a comprehensive authentication toolkit.

onespan now offers versatility for clients using on-premises or cloud environments, and those needing One-Time Password or Fast Identity Online support.

Clients can select software or hardware methods, including Digipass, Cronto, or FIDO2-based transaction signing, providing choice for authentication needs.

OneSpan Enhances Authentication Choices

According to Victor Limongelli, the Chief Executive Officer of OneSpan, the acquisition provides customers with a wide range of authentication choices.

He stated that OneSpan is expanding its authentication platform to include the Fast Identity Online standards,as passwordless solutions are important for the future.

Limongelli added that OneSpan is incorporating Nok Nok’s technology and expertise in the fast Identity Online protocol to offer a flexible authentication solution.
