OnePlus Ace 6T (15R) Design Leak: First Look

The stream of leaks and confirmations regarding the OnePlus Ace 6T never stops. Recently, the company confirmed that it will be the first phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. We also know that the device will get a Genshin Impact Special Edition. Furthermore, recent findings suggest that the Ace 6T will be the OnePlus 15R for the global market. Now, a reliable tech tipster has shared renders showing the design of the OnePlus Ace 6T, which leave little to the imagination.

The latest leaked images come from @evleaks. They showcase the company’s latest design guidelines, with a clean, minimalist aesthetic and refined lines like the flagship OnePlus 15. The handset also appears to have a metal body and frame.

Still, the renders reveal one important design difference with the OnePlus 15: the camera module has only two sensors.

OnePlus Ace 6T design leaked: Dual camera confirmed

This limited camera setup reflects OnePlus’ latest strategy: prioritizing raw performance over camera diversity. The company seems willing to cut features like a telephoto lens to maintain a lower price tag.

While the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor delivers high-level performance, skimping on camera sensors may disappoint some global users. The OnePlus 13R had three lenses, including a 2x telephoto camera. So the potential OnePlus 15R could offer less flexibility in multiple shooting scenarios.

It is highly unlikely that the OnePlus 15R will have three cameras for global markets. Both the OnePlus Ace 6 that was launched in October and the OnePlus Ace 6T that was leaked in these images only have two camera sensors. Moreover, after editing the official teaser of the OnePlus 15R, the presence of a dual camera system at the back is quite evident. The LED flash also matches the new leaked images of the Ace 6T.

The Ace 6T/15R aims to reinforce OnePlus’s pivot to raw performance rather than the “spec-balance” approach. The key question now is how fans will react to these changes.
