As it did with the final episode of “Stranger Things,” which was screened in movie theaters on December 31, Netflix reported on Wednesday that it will also show in theaters the first two episodes of the second season of the series “One Piece,” which is scheduled to premiere on the platform on March 10.

According to the Netflix statement, these new episodes of “One Piece” will be released in more than 200 movie theaters in the United States, Canada and Japan simultaneously with their debut on the streaming service. Performances in the United States and Canada will take place at 6:00 pm local time.

Tickets for these performances go on sale this Thursday starting at 11:00 am Miami time. The complete list of cinemas and times that will screen “One Piece” can be found on this website. Movie theaters hosting these fan events in the United States include AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Alamo and Cineplex, and other theater chains in Canada and Japan are also participating.

“One Piece” is an adaptation with actors of the popular manga of the same name created by Eiichiro Oda. The basic plot involves a young aspiring pirate named Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), who is on a quest to find a long-lost legendary treasure known as One Piece, a feat that would allow him to fulfill his goal of proclaiming himself king of the pirates.

In season 2, Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero) and Sanji (Taz Skylar) travel to the Grand Line, “a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await around every corner,” according to the official synopsis. “There, they will visit strange islands, recruit more allies, and fight formidable new enemies as they search for the world’s greatest treasure.”
