The ancient Greek word epiphany means a flash, a revelation, or a moment that allows you to suddenly see something different from the usual – and Liene’s paintings, like an accidentally broken ray of light, allow you to look directly into the eyes of a fox, red deer or wolf, illuminating the mysterious world of the forest. Maybe even each of them is like a small epiphany. And not only forest, but also meadow and garden epiphanies, which allow you to see the soul of a flower, the delicacy of a bee’s wing and the warm muzzle of a horse.
The exhibition showcases gorgeous oil paintings, all created in 2023, and the core of the collection are portraits of forest dwellers.
